This amazing women,Yvonne Dowlen, has been ice skating for over 65 years of her incredible life. She still remembers what life was like during the Great Depression, and back in those days, owning a pair of ice skates was truly something to be proud of.
And while this grandmother might never win the gold medal for ice skating at the Olympics, when you watch her perform on the ice, you’ll see that she very clearly has a heart of gold!
Yvonne has suffered from a few medical problems in her life, but it really seems like her time on the ice seems to actually help. She says it’s simply because she’s so happy while going through recovery, and when you see her gliding on the ice, you might just have to agree!
