Couple’s baby done with diapers and fully potty trained at 2-weeks-old

Introducing a newborn into your life brings immense joy and love, yet it also comes with challenges like night-time crying and diaper changes. While most experts suggest potty training between 18 to 24 months, some babies may not be ready until age three.

However, one couple’s approach to potty training caught attention worldwide. Montana Lower and Tom Lindwood from Byron Bay, Australia, shared their success story on their YouTube channel ‘On The Way.’ They used a method called “elimination communication” to train their baby, Blue, at just two weeks old.

Elimination communication relies on parents noticing cues for when the baby needs to use the toilet and responding accordingly. Blue’s parents committed to this method, and remarkably, Blue hasn’t needed diapers since. This approach not only reduces mess and discomfort but can also strengthen the parent-baby bond and boost the baby’s self-esteem.

While elimination communication isn’t without its challenges and requires dedication, Blue’s parents found success quickly, highlighting the potential benefits of this method. Their story serves as inspiration for others interested in exploring alternative potty training approaches.
