Elon Musk Criticizes Jennifer Lopez Over Political Support Amid Controversy Surrounding Diddy
During a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk sparked headlines by criticizing singer and actress Jennifer Lopez (J.Lo) over her political involvement.
The conversation took a turn when Musk addressed Lopez’s participation in a rally supporting Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential campaign.
Lopez has been an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump, encouraging voters to oppose his re-election.
However, Musk questioned Lopez’s credibility, highlighting her past relationship with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Diddy, who remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, dated Lopez from 1999 to 2001.
Speaking with Rogan, Musk stated:
“J.Lo was his girlfriend back then, and now she’s warning people about Trump.
How many people did she warn about Diddy? None. Maybe we should be careful about whose opinions we trust.”
Musk went on to criticize the wider entertainment industry, suggesting that many insiders may have known about Diddy’s alleged misconduct but stayed silent.
Rogan echoed the sentiment, questioning why celebrities who once attended Diddy’s events are now vocal supporters of politicians like Harris.
Jennifer Lopez previously spoke out during the campaign, particularly after controversial remarks by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, a Trump supporter, who made offensive comments about Puerto Rico.
Responding passionately at the time, Lopez said:
“We should be scared and outraged. Our pain matters. Your voice and your vote matter.”
As of now, Lopez has not made any public comments regarding the legal troubles facing Sean Combs.
