The heroic rescue made headline news 17 years ago and the duo has everyone talking again, after Hughes attended Davidson’s high school graduation to check in on the girl he saved so many years ago. As you can see in this video, the two have a very special bond and it meant a lot to Davidson to have her hero there cheering her on as she accepted her diploma.
