Billy Garner was a graduate of Texas A&M University, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering, and went on to have a successful career with Union Carbide.
Jennifer, along with her sisters Susannah and Melissa, and their mother Patricia, cherished his role in their lives.
Patricia, who grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, was married to Billy for nearly 60 years, a milestone they celebrated earlier this year.
In her tribute, Jennifer shared a heartfelt memory of singing “Amazing Grace” with her father in his final moments.
She also expressed appreciation for the care provided by City of Hope and Charleston Area Medical Center, saying, “My sisters and I will always celebrate how wonderful our dad was.”
