Man Builds Stunning 2,500 Sq. Ft. Home Using 11 Shipping Containers

In Houston, Texas, designer Will Breaux transformed an ambitious vision into reality by constructing a one-of-a-kind home entirely out of shipping containers.

Located on McGowen Street, his impressive three-story, 2,500-square-foot residence features a rooftop deck and a striking modern design.

Breaux had dreamed of building his own home since the early 2000s but struggled to find architects who could bring his vision to life.

Determined to make it happen, he took on the challenge himself, starting the design process around 2011.

Shipping containers appealed to him because of their durability, fire resistance, and ability to withstand hurricanes.

With no formal construction training, Breaux meticulously educated himself on container-based architecture, creating a 3D model of his ideal home.

After years of dedication and hard work, he successfully built a fully functional, beautifully furnished home that stands as a testament to creativity and perseverance.

Breaux’s project highlights the potential of alternative building materials and self-driven innovation in modern home construction.
