Mel Gibson’s Son Milo Is the Spitting Image of His Famous Dad — And He’s Carving His Own Path in Hollywood
When Mel Gibson first read the script for Braveheart, he instantly knew it would be a defining moment in his career.
Calling it a “haunting piece of work,” he felt compelled to direct the film himself — even though he was initially approached just to act in it.
To prepare for the role of William Wallace, Gibson even drew inspiration from the legendary Sean Connery to help perfect his Scottish accent.
His portrayal not only won hearts but helped cement his legacy as one of Hollywood’s greats.
But away from the cameras, Gibson kept his family life mostly private — including his son, Milo Gibson, who is now stepping into the spotlight in his own right.
Milo didn’t start out chasing the Hollywood dream. Before acting, he worked as an electrician and a massage therapist.
“My dad always told me to do what I love,” Milo said in an interview. “And I love acting.”
His breakout role came in Hacksaw Ridge (2016), directed by Mel Gibson.
Since then, Milo has appeared in several action films like The Tribes of Palos Verdes (2017), All the Devil’s Men (2018), and Dangerous (2021), slowly building a reputation as a rising star.
Despite his famous last name, Milo says his parents made a conscious effort to raise him outside of the Hollywood spotlight.
“That world changes people,” he explained. “And our parents protected us from that.”
Still, the resemblance is undeniable — and fans have taken notice.
“People say, ‘Hey, you look like Mel Gibson!’” Milo once joked. “And I’m like, ‘Man, I wish!’”
