Michelle Obama Stands Firm Against Presidential Run Speculation

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has once again put an end to the rumors surrounding a potential presidential bid.

In a candid interview on the show “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce,” Obama made it clear that her top priority remains the well-being of her daughters, Sasha and Malia, who grew up under the intense scrutiny of the public eye while in the White House.

At 61, Michelle reflected on her family’s time in politics, sharing that she was “relieved” when her husband, Barack Obama, completed his second term in 2017.

“I wanted them [Sasha and Malia] to have the freedom of not having the world’s eyes on them,” she admitted.

Despite the ongoing media attention, the former First Lady expressed concern about her daughters’ attempts to find their own identities while still dealing with paparazzi.

When asked about her own potential run for office, Michelle firmly responded, “The answer is no.”

She explained that those asking this question “have no idea the sacrifice that your kids make when your parents are in that role,” adding that the thought of placing her daughters back into the political spotlight, as they begin to establish themselves, is “unthinkable.”

Michelle concluded, “They’ve already served their time. It’s never gonna happen. Nope.”

Trump Administration Achievements in Early Stages

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has already made notable strides during his first few months back in office, with key accomplishments in national security, immigration, and education.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon underscored Trump’s commitment to school choice and local control, stating that he believes “no child should be trapped in a failing school.”

McMahon emphasized that parents and local teachers are better suited to make decisions for students than bureaucrats in Washington.

Attorney General Pam Bondi highlighted the success of deporting dangerous criminals, including the arrest of 261 gang members now held in El Salvador.

“We will follow the law and protect Americans,” Bondi affirmed.

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz discussed the impact of Houthi attacks on U.S.-flagged ships in the Suez Canal, noting that 75% of these vessels are now avoiding the area.

Waltz praised Trump’s tougher approach compared to the previous administration’s handling of such issues.

On the international stage, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff credited Trump’s “peace through strength” strategy for advancing peace talks in Ukraine, bringing both sides to the table.

In terms of immigration, Trump’s border czar Tom Homan confirmed that the administration is strictly adhering to U.S. immigration law and focusing on full operational control of the southern border.

California’s Changing Political Landscape

A recent DecipherAi poll has revealed a significant shift in California’s political scene, with 48% of likely voters expressing support for a Republican governor in 2026.

This marks a shift in the traditionally blue state, driven by rising frustrations over high living costs, gas prices, and policies on undocumented immigrants receiving free medical care.

Though early polls still show Kamala Harris leading among Democrats, the growing dissatisfaction with the current government suggests that the GOP may have a stronger chance in future elections.
