Nancy Pelosi Returns to Congress with a Walker Following Injury in Europe
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 84, has made a determined return to Capitol Hill after sustaining a serious injury abroad.
Pelosi was seen walking the House floor with the aid of a walker, less than a month after undergoing emergency surgery for a fractured hip.
The injury occurred during an official trip to Luxembourg, where Pelosi fell while descending a marble staircase at the Grand Ducal Palace.

According to her spokesperson, Ian Krager, Pelosi received prompt and effective medical treatment and is continuing her recovery with resilience and grace.
While her trademark high heels have been swapped for more supportive footwear, Pelosi’s commitment to her political role remains unwavering.
Her reappearance in Congress coincided with the formal certification of the 2024 presidential election, where Vice President Kamala Harris officially recognized Donald Trump’s return to the presidency for a second term.

Pelosi’s presence sent a strong message: despite health challenges, she has no intention of stepping away from public service.
Her return comes at a time of growing discussion around the age and fitness of senior lawmakers, especially following recent health-related incidents involving other top-ranking politicians, such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, 82, who reportedly sprained his wrist, and ongoing debates about leadership readiness.
As Pelosi resumes her duties, national security has become a renewed focus in Washington. Over the weekend, Senator Lindsey Graham emphasized the urgency of confirming President Trump’s Cabinet picks, citing border security and foreign policy threats.
Speaking on Fox News, Graham called for a swift confirmation process, warning that any delay would pose national risks.
With political tensions high and pressing issues on the agenda, Pelosi’s return symbolizes both the resilience of veteran lawmakers and the challenges that come with leadership in a changing political landscape.
