New White House Photo of Trump Sparks Online Speculation—Here’s What Really Happened
A newly released photo of former President Donald Trump inside the White House Situation Room has triggered fresh speculation on social media, with users pointing out what they believe is an inconsistency—specifically regarding his ear, which was injured during the 2024 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when gunfire erupted from a nearby rooftop.
Tragically, one rallygoer, 50-year-old firefighter Corey Comperatore, was killed, and two others were seriously wounded.
Trump was also injured, with a bullet reportedly grazing his right ear. The shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crook, was swiftly neutralized by Secret Service agents.
In the weeks that followed, Trump wore a white bandage on his ear during public appearances—a gesture that soon became a symbol of support among many of his followers.
However, a recent high-resolution image from the White House Situation Room, showing Trump with no visible signs of injury, has reignited online chatter.
Some users on X (formerly Twitter) questioned how his ear could appear fully healed so quickly, with others making sarcastic comments suggesting miraculous recovery or even implying the incident was exaggerated.
One viral post read, “Isn’t this the ear that apparently took a bullet?” while another joked about a “Nobel Prize in Physiology” for “natural ear regrowth.”
Despite the online noise, medical professionals have explained that ear injuries—especially ones that don’t require stitches—can heal rapidly and leave minimal visible scarring.

Former White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson previously stated that the wound caused significant initial bleeding and swelling, but did not require sutures and was healing well thanks to the ear’s rich blood supply.
Supporters of the former president have pushed back against the conspiracy theories, reminding skeptics that the event was captured on camera and witnessed by thousands.
“There were multiple angles and live feeds—this wasn’t staged,” one user wrote.
Another added, “A man nearly died, and a hero was killed. This is not something to mock.”
