Obama Breaks Silence After Trump’s Explosive Russiagate Accusation

“These bizarre allegations are ridiculous,” says Obama spokesman.

In a rare public response, former President Barack Obama has strongly denied recent claims by Donald Trump, who alleged that Obama was the “mastermind” behind the now-infamous Trump–Russia investigation.

Trump, speaking from the Oval Office, called for a criminal investigation, asserting that Obama and top officials “fabricated” the narrative of Russian interference following the 2016 election.

He claimed, “It was President Obama. It was his idea. And he got it from crooked Hillary.”

Trump’s comments were fueled by newly declassified documents released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. According to Gabbard, the documents reveal that Obama-era officials allegedly politicized intelligence to justify the Russia probe—despite early assessments not supporting such claims.

Obama’s office, which usually refrains from addressing Trump’s accusations, issued a rare and sharply worded rebuttal through spokesman Patrick Rodenbush:

“These claims are outrageous enough to merit one.

They’re nothing more than a distraction.”

Rodenbush emphasized that a bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report—led by Republican Senator Marco Rubio—confirmed that Russia did attempt to interfere in the 2016 election, though it found no vote manipulation.

Meanwhile, Gabbard submitted a criminal referral to the Department of Justice based on what she calls “overwhelming evidence” of misconduct by Obama administration officials, including James Clapper, John Brennan, Susan Rice, and others.

As political tensions mount, this latest development adds a dramatic new chapter to the ongoing debate over the origins of the Russia investigation.

Stay tuned — more documents are reportedly on the way.
