Patti Scialfa, renowned E Street Band member and wife of Bruce Springsteen, has shared her recent cancer diagnosis

Patti Scialfa, E Street Band member and wife of Bruce Springsteen, recently revealed her battle with multiple myeloma, a cancer diagnosed in 2018.
In the documentary Rock Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, she shared her journey, explaining how the illness has reshaped her life and career.

The diagnosis made touring with Springsteen and the band challenging.

“This impacts my immune system, so I have to be mindful of where I go,” Scialfa shared.

She continues to make occasional stage appearances but has embraced a “new normal,” balancing her health and personal priorities.

In addition to her health, she’s focused on her granddaughter, Lily Springsteen, born in July 2022, and completing her solo album.

Springsteen himself has faced health setbacks, postponing tour dates in 2023 and 2024 due to gastric ulcer disease and vocal issues.

Despite these challenges, the couple remains resilient and continues to inspire fans worldwide.

Our thoughts are with Patti Scialfa as she courageously navigates this journey.
