Plane Crash Survivor Wows Simon and other Judges with Her Vocals

On the stage on America’s Got Talent, a young woman with third-degree burns brilliantly performed a cover of Ed Sheeran’s top hit “Thinking Out Loud.”
Incredibly, Kechi turned to music to help her cope in the aftermath of the tragedy. “Lying in the hospital bed, unable to move — music was my escape,” she says. “It did so much for me.”
Four years after the crash, Kechi returned to college and graduated with honors. Ten years after the crash — and after undergoing 100 surgeries to repair the damage that had been done to her face and body — Kechi bravely walked onto the stage at America’s Got Talent.

Not only did she share her survival story with the world, she also revealed her amazing voice.

Kechi has a warm and extremely crisp voice in what was a very emotional audition. She absolutely wowed the judges and even received a standing ovation from the audience and the judges.
