Rescued St. Bernard 80 Pounds Underweight Experiences Heartwarming First Meal

Stu, a St. Bernard found on the brink of tragedy, is now on a hopeful journey thanks to Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Severely emaciated and weak, Stu faced a grim fate in an abandoned St. Louis home. Rushed to Stray Rescue for emergency care, he couldn’t stand, curled up weakly, and received “warming support” and his first meal.

Miraculously, Stu survived the night, greeting the next morning with tail wags. Despite concerns about erratic bloodwork, his determination showcased a survivor spirit. Days later, Stray Rescue announced Stu’s move to a medical foster home, still within the Stray Rescue family. Under the care of the front desk manager’s mom, Stu is already settling in, enjoying a big bed and canine companions.

Stu’s healing journey continues with a loving family close to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, where he is destined to receive the love he deserves.
