Tragedy struck in Utah over the weekend as a father and daughter lost their lives when a bulldozer fell on their pickup truck.
Over the weekend, a heartbreaking accident in Ogden Canyon, Utah, claimed the lives of Richard David Hendrickson and his 16-year-old daughter, Sally.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 12:49 p.m. on Saturday.
Hendrickson, CEO and president of Lifetime Products, an outdoor furniture company, and his daughter were tragically killed when a bulldozer fell off a tow truck and landed on their pickup truck.
The tow vehicle was navigating a sharp right-hand curve when the bulldozer broke loose and slid into Hendrickson’s GMC pickup.
Both Hendrickson and Sally were pronounced dead at the scene, while two other adult passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Lifetime Products paid tribute to Hendrickson, describing him as a multifaceted leader with legendary mechanical skills and a remarkable ability to connect with others.
In addition to his role at the company, Hendrickson served as the stake president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
