TV Network Features Melania Trump’s Past Modeling Photos After Trump’s Reelection Victory

A Russian state television channel has stirred controversy by broadcasting nude photos of Melania Trump during a segment discussing Donald Trump’s return to the White House following his 2024 reelection.

The incident occurred on 60 Minutes, a popular show hosted by Yevgeny Popov and Olga Skabeyeva. The segment showcased images from Melania Trump’s modeling career, including a 2000 GQ magazine spread, where she posed nude for the cover.

Julia Davis, founder of the Russia Media Monitor, highlighted the unusual broadcast by sharing footage on X (formerly Twitter).

In her post, Davis remarked, “This is how Russia’s most-watched state TV channel welcomed Melania Trump’s potential return to the White House. Skabeyeva is trying not to laugh—this was probably her idea.”

The show featured commentary on Melania Trump’s modeling career, with Popov noting, “With her husband’s victory, Melania is preparing for a return to the White House.

Here’s how she appeared in 2000, gracing the cover of GQ.” The segment displayed photos of her posing in lingerie atop furs, near a private jet, and on a carpet featuring the U.S. seal.

The broadcast concluded with a montage of Melania’s past photos accompanied by a voice-over that referenced her earlier social media statements.

“What does ‘my body, my choice’ really mean?” the narrator asked, a nod to a video Melania had shared promoting her autobiography.

Melania Trump began her modeling career at age 16 in Slovenia and built an international reputation, working in Milan, Paris, and New York during the 1990s.

Her GQ cover resurfaced during Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, drawing both criticism and admiration. Melania has consistently defended her modeling work, including nude shoots, as expressions of art and self-confidence.

In a recent video shared on X, Melania addressed critiques of her work, stating, “Why does the media critique my celebration of the human form?

Art and beauty have been honored by history’s greatest artists, and my work is no different.”

The video also promoted her memoir, released on October 8, which promises previously unseen photos and untold stories.

The Russian broadcast has reignited conversations about the balance between privacy, public perception, and the complexities of revisiting Melania Trump’s past as she prepares to return to the political stage.
