‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Sets New Record With Lightning-Fast $65K Bonus Round Win

A recent episode of Wheel of Fortune delivered one of the most exciting moments of the season when Minnesota contestant Delinda Rood solved her Bonus Round puzzle in astonishing speed.

She secured a total of $65,650 and leaving viewers, fellow contestants, and host Ryan Seacrest in disbelief.

Rood, a resident of Rosemount, Minnesota, didn’t start the night as the frontrunner.

She struggled with the opening toss-up, missing the puzzle “My Game Face.”

But everything changed just moments later when she confidently buzzed in with the correct answer to the second toss-up, “Practical Joker,” quickly earning $2,000 and gaining momentum.

Meanwhile, her competitors — Justin Zamora of California, who won a dream trip to Norway, and Shateria Smith of Tennessee, who grabbed the coveted One Million Dollar Wedge — kept the competition lively.

Still, Rood steadily carved out her lead.

A Bonus Round for the Ages

Choosing the category “Around the House,” Rood was given the letters to the puzzle. Watch below:
