Polar Bear Injures 32-Year-Old Woman Who Jumped Into Enclosure at Berlin Zoo…

A 32-year-old woman was assaulted by a polar bear on Friday after she jumped into their enclosure at the Berlin Zoo during feeding time.

She sustained multiple bite injuries before she was rescued. The woman, identified only as Mandy K., climbed over a fence, a line of hedges, and a wall to enter the enclosure.

Mandy K. leaped over the bars while the bears were being fed, resulting in injuries to her arms, legs, and back.

Despite the efforts of six zookeepers to distract the four predators, one bear repeatedly bit her. The zookeepers eventually managed to scare off the bear and save her.

The woman is now recovering in the hospital following surgery to repair her wounds. It was later revealed that she is a teacher who had been driven to despair by her failure to find a job.
