Alissa Sizemore’s First Competition Since the Accident
Alissa Sizemore is only 8 years old, but she’s already inspiring people all over the world with her bravery, strength and talent. When Alissa was 7 years old, her right leg had to be amputated below the knee after a truck had ran over her foot and immediately severed it. She had been dancing since she was 4 years old, and was determined to get back into the studio again.
Her performance in the video is her first solo performance since the amputation. As she begins performing, the crowd is moved by her ability to overcome giant boundaries to continue doing what she loves. As if a live performance wasn’t enough, she does something incredible while dancing that earns a standing ovation for her remarkable strength.
