This Boy Saw A Sick Girl At A Hockey Game. What He Did For Her Had Everyone Cheering
During a Winnipeg Jets game, 9-year-old Keaton Hamin won a hockey stick signed by Tyler Myers, a defenseman for the popular team. After he won the stick, 7-year-old hockey fan Alyx Delaloye rushed to see it. Although, she simply wanted to check out the prized hockey stick up close, she was shocked when Keaton decided to give her the stick to keep for herself.
The young boy observed that Alyx, bald from chemotherapy, was bravely fighting leukemia and decided she was more deserving of the signed stick. Sadly, leukemia is the most common type of cancer in teens and children, but, thankfully, highly successful treatment options are available. Hopefully Alyx will be free of the disease very soon.
