Heavy Metal Band “Disturbed” Paralyzes the Crowd as They Sings Chilling Version of this Classic

When it comes to music, it’s rare that a cover outshines the original, especially when the original is so beloved. However, heavy metal band Disturbed has managed to come close with their cover of “The Sound of Silence.” According to Wikipedia, “The Sound of Silence” was originally written by Paul Simon and released by Simon & Garfunkel in 1964. It was originally called, “Sounds of Silence.” The song features the famous opening lines, “Hello Darkness, my old friend/I’ve come to talk with you again.”
Disturbed released the song, which was featured on their album “Immortalized,” as a single in December 2015. The track went on to become a hit for the band, going to No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
