John Aniston, Star from ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Dies at Age 89
Veteran actor John Aniston, who joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Victor Kiriakis in 1985, has passed away. His death was confirmed by his daughter, actress Jennifer Aniston.
Jennifer shared a series of photos of herself and her father on Instagram, noting that he died on November 11, 2022.
She wrote, “Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston. You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain. And on 11/11 no less! You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now. I’ll love you till the end of time. Don’t forget to visit.”
John had most recently won a Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Award in June 2022 in honor of his time on Days. His daughter stepped in to accept the award for him without revealing why her father could not attend himself.
John was born in 1934 in Crete, Greece. He had roles on several TV shows in addition to the soap opera that made him famous, including Gilmore Girls, Mad Men, and The West Wing. He was endlessly supportive of his daughter’s own career, once telling E! Online that his daughter was a “natural talent.”
