Mother Turns Up Unannounced At School And Sits Next To Her Son To Stop Him Abusing Staff
A determined mother, Becky Crandley, took a bold step to address her 12-year-old son Harley’s disrespectful behavior towards teachers. Frustrated with her son’s ongoing rudeness, she decided to act and turned up unannounced at Sittingbourne Community College in Kent to sit in on his Year 8 maths class.
Despite previous warnings, Harley’s behavior had not improved, prompting Becky to take matters into her own hands after receiving emails from his teacher about two troubling incidents. Fed up with her son’s disrespect, Becky offered to attend a math lesson with him, and the school agreed.
On Friday afternoon, she walked into the school, surprising Harley and sitting next to him during the class. Becky, a mother of five, had previously threatened to take this action, but Harley had dismissed it. However, faced with the reality of his mother sitting beside him, he was visibly embarrassed.
Sharing her experience on social media, Becky emphasized her commitment to teaching her children respect. She expressed concern about the declining behavior of today’s children and underscored her stance on not tolerating disrespect, particularly towards women. In a Facebook post, she recounted the moment her son turned red with embarrassment, stating, “He went so red there’s nothing I can compare it to.” The bold parenting move garnered praise on social media, with many commending Becky for taking proactive steps to address her son’s behavior.
