On the Road Teen Repays Fathers Debt
Tona Herndon was going through one of the roughest patches of her life when her husband of 60 years suddenly passed away. It can be incredibly difficult to let go of someone who has been with you for so long and has meant so much to your life. Filled with grief, she visited her husband’s grave often, but two weeks later, the unthinkable happened.
On a trip to visit her husband’s grave, Tona was mugged of her purse which contained roughly $700, just as she was stepping into her car. Luckily, they eventually caught the perpetrator and plastered his picture all over the news. However, the photograph caught the attention of one teenage boy. Recognizing the perpetrator, he decided to give Tona a visit, and the reason behind it is incredibly touching.
