Stranger Shows Girl With Autism Kindness While on a Plane
Like most parents, Shanell knows that taking her young child on an airplane poses problems. Especially as her daughter Kate has autism. Autism can cause what’s seen as ‘unruly behavior’ because children’s attention spans are limited, they find it difficult to keep still and are often at once quite rambunctious and yet struggle with socializing.
So, she wasn’t looking forward to a recent flight with Kate… The ride didn’t start promisingly. Kate became unsettled and began reaching out for the man sat next to her and calling him ‘Daddy’. Shanell cringed. ‘Here we go’, she thought… But the man, sat in seat 16C, did something which took her massively by surprise.
