WWII Vet Meeting His First Ever Great-Great-Grandchild… A MEETING 101 YEARS IN THE MAKING!

Celebrating 101 years of life is a rare and remarkable achievement, especially in a world where the average life expectancy hovers around 79.11 years. WWII veteran Dewey Muirhead achieved this milestone, much to the jubilation of his family. Despite a lifetime filled with experiences, Dewey’s family managed to surprise him with a novel one – meeting his first great-great-grandchild.

Enter Millie Fowler, the newest addition to the Muirhead family, marking an impressive five-generation span. Dewey, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and now Millie, embody a unique familial continuum that few can boast. Dewey, a true American hero who served in France for the Army Air Corp during WWII, resides in Wewoka, OK, while his great-granddaughter Lexie, and little Millie, call Asher, OK, home.

In a heartwarming video capturing the momentous occasion, Dewey sits in a chair with a red, white, and blue blindfold covering his eyes. The proud parents, Dewey’s great-granddaughter and her spouse, stand behind and beside him. As the blindfold is removed, Dewey, initially a bit bewildered, is gently guided by Lexie’s husband to focus on her and then, with anticipation, on baby Millie.

The genuine wonder on Dewey’s face is palpable as his eyes meet little Millie’s. When Lexie places Millie in Dewey’s lap, sheer joy lights up his face. In the video, turn up the volume to capture the exchange as Dewey showers the newborn with sweet nothings and coos. It’s a truly magical moment, a testament to the enduring power of family and the joy found in unexpected surprises.
