Viral Video Shows Elementary School Principal Using Corporal Punishment on 6-Year-Old Students

A troubling video has surfaced showing an elementary school principal and a staff member in southwest Florida paddling a 6-year-old student for allegedly scratching a computer screen.

The child’s mother recorded the incident while visiting the school to pay for the damage her daughter was accused of causing, stating she filmed it because she feared her account wouldn’t be believed.

Although the school district’s handbook explicitly prohibits corporal punishment, Florida law does not completely outlaw it.

The mother described the paddling as harsh and frightening, noting that it caused both physical harm and possible emotional trauma to her child.

The family’s attorney expressed concern about the severity of the punishment, characterizing it as “aggravated battery.”

Following the incident, the mother took her daughter to a doctor to document the injuries sustained.

The video has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for accountability and justice.

The public hopes that the school district will take appropriate action in response to the disturbing event.
