Instead of Wedding Speach Dad Gives a Phone to Bride. Then she Hears a Familiar Voice
There is no occasion more beautiful than a wedding. It’s a time for newlyweds to not only express their love for one another, but also for the friends and family who surround them and who have supported them on this journey to marriage.
You’re about to meet a bride whose wedding day was especially emotional, since not all of her loved ones could be there.
Her grandpa is an inspiration and role model to her, not to mention he’d been married to her grandmother for 70 years and has learned a whole lot about love and marriage. However, he could not travel to be there at the wedding. The bride was crushed.
Instead of leaving him out, the bride’s sister decided she to make their grandfather a part of the special occasion. She reveals to the wedding guests that she called Granddad to ask him for some advice and wisdom, to help her with her speech.
“If you’re looking for wisdom, I’m afraid you’ve called the wrong number,” he jokingly told her. Still, the sentiment is enough to make the bride emotional.
But then it’s time for the father-of-the-bride to give his speech.
“I, too, have some advice, but before that, let me try something here.”
And with that, Dad dials a phone number, holds it up to his daughter, and the second she hears a voice say, “Hello?” she breaks down in tears.
