“I Prayed We Would Be The Home Chosen.” Baby Surrendered At Fire Station Gets Adopted Two Years Later.
Thanks to Kentucky’s Safe Haven Law, a baby boy surrendered at a fire station has been adopted by Chris and Brittany Tyler. Unable to conceive, the Tylers turned to foster care and decided to bring home the infant left at the Louisville Fire Department. After 581 days in foster care, Sam is officially a Tyler! His new parents celebrated by taking him to Build-A-Bear for a firefighter bear, honoring the first responders who found him. Despite the paperwork delay, Sam didn’t bounce around in the system, growing into a curious toddler. When he asks about his birth mother, Chris and Brittany see her as a role model and hero for surrendering him at the fire station. They plan to share this positive perspective on her character with Sam as he grows up.
