An Older Couple Is Lying In Bed.
An elderly couple awakens one morning, nestled in bed after a restful nightâs sleep. As the husband reaches out to touch her hand, she recoils, saying, âPlease donât touch me.â
Perplexed, he queries, âWhy not?â Her response is blunt: âBecause Iâm deceased.â Astounded, he argues, âBut weâre both here, conversing in bed.â
However, she remains steadfast, asserting, âNo, I assure you, I am dead.â Undeterred, he presses, âHow can you possibly believe that?â Her reasoning is simple: âBecause when I woke up this morning, I felt no pain.â
